Meccano "Aunt Sally" Fun Machine 02/07/2012
The month of January has seen me attempting to build up some shader skills, an essential requirement if I want to build a decent looking surfing wave for my Surfng Simulation project. This has all been rather exasperating, so now a Meccano break is called for. Digging through old copies of the Meccano Magazine publication I came across a model called the "Aunt Sally Fun Machine" which I thought might be rather fun to build, as well as having some use afterwards as a demonstration of physics interactivity in an amusing gameplay. If it works as expected, I'll make it available for downloading. You can follow my progress on my Meccano page. Add Comment Robotic Arm - Phase01 completed 12/15/2011
The arm construction (Phase01) has been completed, and a start has been made on testing individual servo operation (Phase02). A video clip can be found on the webpage. R6 Robotic Arm - the start 11/27/2011
I've made a start on this project. You can download a very basic Phase01 from here Meccano Lifting Shovel completed! 11/19/2011
Its taken a bit of time, but that's only because I've been slotting it in between breaks in my other projects. I've been using the Oddity 3D graphics engine for this project, and its really proved its capabilites in allowing me to put together a highly detailed model (800 seperate parts) and still perform at a decent framerate for the final realtime animation. I'm impressed! To all Meccano enthusiasts out there: please feel free to add comments, suggestions and ideas.....I am very open to such things, and they help to further motivate me. DomaBot needed a helping hand! See 3DRad Special Tutorials for latest. Nearly, nearly completed. (Aiming for completion by December) Robotic Tutorial - updated 10/11/2011
